the joys of working at a newspaper /abandon all hope ye who click this link
So if you don't already know I work at the missoulian (a local newspaper) in the shipping department, do I enjoy it you might ask? well yes I do as a matter of fact, however I'll tell you what I don't enjoy about it (hey don't look at me you chose to read this in fact I'll even add a phrase to the title for you it will say abandon all hope ye who click this link... there it's been updated) so back to what I don't like about it. as you know there would be no newspaper if there was no one to write the articles and yes we are in a different department we still see them. I mostly see them when they come to raid our snack machine cause it has better shit than theirs but they way the walk through with their noses in the air and the "elitist prick" aroma that follows them it tends to get on my nerves... meh maybe one day they will realize that what they write wouldn't even see the light of day if it weren't for us and they'll come crawling back to us begging to do our job... either that or they will hire a bunch of low lives with no self respect and maybe even get away with paying them less ( if it's possible) ... yeah I'm guessing they will take the latter route.

G'day

Ben & Laura Fosgate May 5, 2007

It's been a long time coming and everyone that knew them, knew this day would come.
May they have a long healthy life. They have been really good friends and I'm sure will be in the days to come.

Best of luck to them in this new chapter in their life!

Silent hill four....

an interesting game for sure, but basically I just sat home today and played it... then I went to my friends' high school jazz concert. It was fun and now I'm tired and this whole time you thought you were gonna read something interesting that I had to say when in reality I have nothing to say....

goodnight!

Where to go and what to do....

The title pretty much says it all for most of us I'm sure, but I really have no idea for myself. I know all of the things that I don't want for myself as a career/lifestyle although it seems that the very things that I don't want to do and be, are the very things that I stare at in the mirror every morning while shaving and brushing my teeth. Why is it that I only realize it then? I mean it's not like they don't go away during the day while I perform the vicious circle of my redundant mediocre job, right? or maybe the second I step away from that mirror I go into a funky state of denial...

I just fear one of these days when I look into that mirror, my image will be and old man (myself of course) that looks me dead in the eye, shakes his head in disappointment and walks out the door... on his way to the same job I have right now I'm sure.

pseudo-disappointment =(

Well let me first start off by saying that I'll pretty much always be a fan of P86 it was one of the first Cd's I ever bought.

The song: Evil (a chorus of resistance) was very energetic yet very repetitive. The song sounded like a fusion of the melodic goodness from "Truthless Heros" mixed with the punch from "And the Rest Will Follow". I only hope that the rest of the album is much better or else could render their next release mediocre at best.

Thats my spin on it... g'night

Insert title here... :s

So recently I've run into some financial problems and I had to not drive my truck for a while... well my step brother brian heard about this and found out that I had been walking and getting rides to work, so he told me to go to his house that saturday and he'd loan me the money to register it.

thursday...

friday...

friday and a half...

Saturday!
I go over to his house and I notice a new truck in his driveway so I thought "oh someone must be here" well actually when I walked in he said " uh I can't really get you that money I bought ANOTHER truck"

*sighs*

*crushed by the feeling of being letdown*

*walks out without saying anything*

a few days later I was talking to my mom in CA telling her about the story you just heard and my sister (who happened to walk in the same room as my mother) heard about what was going on and had a check wrote out before the phone call was over.... I told her "I don't know how soon I can pay you back" she replies "don't pay me back"

I guess after all of this I learned where the loyalty is.

Damned to the dungoens of mediocrity...

Yup thats me, sittin here on my front porch wondering what could be and what has been, while that little thing that happens to me during my day dream, is that supurb event that most call life.
I'm reminded of an old proverb that goes " I dig the whole, to earn the money, to buy the food, to get the energy, to dig the ditch. It seems like thats all I do. Is that what life is about? Until I find out the answers I guess I'll keep up this bland merry go round.

Wind storms and foreign currency...

So last night was very windy and the power went out every where, and it's still out (I'm typing this while riding a stationary bike to generate power for my computer... and the internet) So, really bad weather here

About the foreign currency part. I was at work today and I get this phone call from a lady who wanted a quoute on a job. When I told her how much it would be she said "Oh. Thats not as bad as I thought it would be. Thats in dollars right?" Now if she had some sort of accent I would have given her the benefit of the doubt, but she had no sign of one at all. "No thats in yen you might want to break out your conversion table for this one."

Merry Christmas, now give me what I want or I'll cut your head off and put it in your daughter's stocking.

What ever happened to the real Christmas? Have you looked around these days? It's pretty pathetic, just walking through the mall earlier this month I felt like a was being brutally molested by marketing wordplay and fashion whores. No one smiles anymore or takes the time to stop and say "hey, how are you" and actully mean it. We want what we want and if you don't have what we want well then "fuck you I'm trying penny's next, I'll bet they have it"

I guess I was just wondering when and how Christmas became a competition for who can spend the most money on gifts that I'm sure in reality nobody asked for.

till next time
